Invest in YOURSELF for the sake of OTHERS.

We all change over time. Physically and mentally. Our values and perspectives also change. Through different life experiences, we mature and become different, and hopefully better people. Sadly, some of life's experiences can have the opposite effect.

When we behave in a particular way, it is often as a result of our conscious decision to act.

However, as we mature, our brains make neural pathways as we interpret the sensory input we get and assign a meaning to it. As soon as a meaning is assigned, it leads to an emotion. This is unconscious, and fast, so that we have the stimulus and the emotion. The rest is out of awareness.

When we learn, we generalize. Because we had some experiences in the past that seem similar, we generalize and automate; it’s an efficiency strategy.

You learn how to act/behave in a way that honours your values. This is congruency.

But what if your values and beliefs start to change and old behaviours no longer serve you? Your values and behaviours are now incongruent. There is disharmony, and a lack of equilibrium. You start to question yourself. An inner turmoil exists that you struggle to understand.

We all face challenges on a daily basis, be it as a leader, a follower, a parent, or a partner. Life is about building and nurturing relationships with self and others.

Coaching and mentorship is an essential part of personal development.

The conversations we have with ourselves, and others are important in helping us overcome difficulties and achieve high levels of well-being.

Unlock your potential and overcome your limiting assumptions by investing time, energy, and finance in yourself. You are responsible for your emotions and behaviours so take time to invest in yourself by reaching out to us.

For me, having been fortunate enough to work as a mountain leader and a PE teacher, I find the great outdoors to be energizing and challenging. From SF selection to expeditions to sea swimming to gentle rambles, I believe that the benefits of physical exercise and setting challenges is a key part of well-being.
